Will my clients actually use it? +
The extension installs in about 90 seconds and then runs silently in the background -- your clients do not need to remember to use it. Because it logs automatically, usage is high: there is nothing to maintain. The bigger question is whether your clients want to be more intentional about YouTube, and if they are working with you, the answer is usually yes.
What if a client refuses to install the extension? +
It happens. The extension is the only way data is collected, so a client who won't install it simply won't have scores. In practice, coaches find that framing it as "a tool that will help us track your progress together" removes most of the resistance -- especially for ADHD clients who already know their relationship with YouTube is complicated.
Does it work on mobile or iPad? +
The extension runs on desktop Chrome and Firefox. YouTube watched on a phone, tablet, or the YouTube app is not captured. For clients who watch primarily on desktop, this covers the large majority of their viewing. For clients who mostly watch on mobile, the data will be partial. This is a real limitation worth discussing with your clients before they join.
Is this only for clients who have a YouTube problem? +
No. Anyone who watches YouTube can benefit from knowing how much of that time was intentional versus passive. For some clients, the data is a relief (less drift than they feared). For others, it is the wake-up call that opens the real conversation. Either way, you start the session with information instead of guesswork.
What if a client stops working with me mid-year? +
Seats are not refunded if a client leaves mid-year, but the seat is freed up for a new client immediately -- you do not need to wait for renewal to onboard a replacement. If you consistently have fewer active clients than your tier covers, you can downgrade at renewal.
Do I need to be technical to set this up? +
No. You send an invite from your dashboard. Your client receives an email, creates an account, installs the Chrome or Firefox extension, and that is it. Nothing to configure, no integrations, no admin panel to learn. If your client can install a browser extension, they are set.
When am I actually charged? +
