Clarity Score
The Clarity Score measures how closely your actual watch time aligns with the goal you set at the start of a session. Three coherent topics score higher than 47 rabbit holes.
The Clarity Score is the second of three weekly behavioural scores in Gazenest. It reflects the focus and coherence of your YouTube sessions over the past seven days, expressed on a 0-to-100 scale.
A session with high clarity is one where you watched a focused set of videos on related topics and then stopped. A session with low clarity is one where you hopped across many unrelated channels with no clear thread -- driven by the recommendation feed rather than your own interest.
Clarity is distinct from the Diversity Score. Diversity is a week-level measure of how varied your total consumption is across channels and topics. Clarity is a session-level measure of how focused each individual session was. You can have high Diversity (wide range of topics across the week) while maintaining high Clarity (each session was coherent within itself).
The score matters because passive YouTube usage is typically characterised by low clarity: sessions that start with one intent and end up somewhere completely different, driven by autoplay and recommendation chains rather than conscious choice.
The Clarity Score is available on Plus and above plans.
